By 1984 the club had professionally designed greens and a new layout but soil quality was poor and clay pans were prevalent. Erosion was a problem and water for irrigation and was scarce. Course maintenance equipment was run down.
Then the big storm hit in 2008 and flattened 17 major trees and damaged countless others.
Over the last five years a team of volunteers with equipment and materials, all donated, have made major changes and improvements to the course. The following photographs tell some of the story.
After a lot of hard work and a few good seasons, the results are a credit to all the club members who have contributed their ideas, their equipment and their time to our great little course.
